Disclaimer
On this page
This disclaimer explains how far you can rely on what you read on 1gambling.net. The site is published by Saffronlane New Media FZ-LLC, Building 4, Dubai Media City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By using any page of 1Gambling, in English or in French, you accept the limits described below.
1. An independent publisher, not a casino
1Gambling writes about gambling; it does not offer it. We hold no gambling licence because we need none: we do not accept wagers, run games, hold deposits, pay out winnings or decide the result of any bet. When you click through to an online casino, a sportsbook or a poker room and open an account, your contract is with that operator. Questions about verification, bonuses, frozen balances or withdrawals go to the operator, and complaints are handled under its terms and by the authority that licensed it.
2. Information, not advice
Our reviews, casino lists, strategy guides and province pages are general information written for a broad audience. They are not financial, legal, tax or psychological advice and do not take your personal circumstances into account. A first place in one of our lists means the operator passed our checks and fits the topic of that page; it does not mean you will win, that the site suits you, or that gambling is a sensible use of your money. Every bet carries the risk of losing the full stake.
3. Offers and terms change
Welcome packages, free spins, wagering requirements, maximum bets, payment limits and withdrawal times are set by operators and change often, sometimes without notice. We review our pages regularly, but there can be a delay between a change on the operator's side and an update on ours. Amounts in Canadian dollars, percentages and deadlines quoted on 1Gambling are a guide only. The terms shown on the operator's site at the moment you sign up are the ones that bind you, so read them, especially the wagering rules and the list of games that count.
4. Licensing differs by province
There is no single Canadian online gambling licence. Ontario runs an open, regulated market overseen by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and iGaming Ontario, and Ontario rules do not allow bonuses to be advertised to players there. Alberta's market is supervised by AGLC, and in most other provinces online gambling is offered by a provincial lottery corporation. Operators licensed elsewhere may still accept players from some provinces. We describe the licence an operator states and what public registers showed at the time of our check, but licences can be suspended, withdrawn or limited. Whether you may use a given site depends on where you are, and checking that is your responsibility.
5. Odds, RTP and other third-party data
Return-to-player percentages, volatility ratings, maximum wins, betting odds and payment fees come from game studios, operators and payment providers. RTP is a long-run theoretical average and says nothing about a single session; the same slot can also be offered at different RTP settings at different casinos. Betting odds move constantly, and any odds shown in an article are examples from the time of writing. Check the figures inside the game or on the betting slip before you play.
6. Worked examples
When we work out how much you need to wager to clear a bonus, or how long an Interac withdrawal might take, we simplify. Games contribute differently to wagering, bonuses may cap winnings, and operators may ask for extra documents before paying out. Your result can differ from our example.
7. Affiliate relationships
1Gambling is funded by commissions from some of the operators it lists. Following one of our links costs you nothing and does not change the offer you receive. The affiliate disclosure explains which links are commercial and how we keep commercial deals away from our lists.
8. External websites
We link to operators, regulators, support services, news sources and photo libraries. Those sites are run by others; we do not control their content, security, privacy practices or availability, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on them.
9. Intellectual property
Brand names, logos and game titles mentioned on 1Gambling belong to their owners and are used to identify the products we review. Our own text and lists may not be republished without permission, as set out in the terms of use.
10. Adults only
Gambling content on this site is intended for people aged 19 or over, or 18 or over in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. If you are under the legal age in your province, please leave the site.
11. Play responsibly
Gambling should be entertainment with a budget you can afford to lose, never a way to make money or pay off debt. Decide on a time and money limit before you start, take breaks and do not chase losses. If gambling stops being fun, ConnexOntario provides free, confidential support around the clock at 1-866-531-2600. Most operators also offer deposit limits, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion; our responsible gambling page explains how to use them.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saffronlane New Media FZ-LLC accepts no liability for direct or indirect loss arising from the use of 1Gambling, from decisions made on the basis of its content, from play with any operator, from an operator's refusal or delay in paying, or from errors, gaps or interruptions on the site. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded under the consumer protection laws of your province.
13. Site availability
We aim to keep the site online and free of errors but cannot guarantee it. Pages may be changed, moved or removed, and tables may not display correctly on every device.
14. Corrections
If you spot an outdated bonus, a wrong licence number or a broken link, tell us at [email protected] with the address of the page. We check every report.
15. Changes to this disclaimer
We revise this page when the site or the market changes. The date at the top shows the latest review.
